The Altruistic Traveller was created by blogger and now author, Bianca Caruana. She started the blog back in 2015 with a deep curiosity about the intersection of travel and sustainability.
From 2015 to 2023, this platform was a place to share her stories and the stories of the people and projects she visited on her travels. She used this space to advocate for better conditions in the tourism industry and amplify the voices of those already working to bring more equality and sustainability into the tourism sector.
In 2023, after the launch of Bianca’s memoir, Soul Truth, she decided to move away from being the primary blogger on the platform and turn this space into a curated content platform that highlights stories, news and insights related to sustainable tourism and the much-needed ethical reconstruction of an industry that risks becoming too unsustainable.
The Altruistic Traveller now exists as a platform to share discussions, ideas and recommendations on how to travel with more compassion, integrity and conscious awareness.
